I was born in England in 1967, in the sunny and fragrant fishing hamlet of Birkenhead on the crystal blue banks of the Mersey.

After three years at art college, and not a clue as to what the real world was all about (I was an art student for heaven's sake), I suddenly surprised myself completely by convincing someone to give me employment.

I beame an artist in the exotic world of computer games, at a time when computers were little more than dancing calculators. More surprisingly, I remained as an artist in the exotic world of computer games for a further seventeen years....seventeen years....seventeen....long...years, until it didn't seem so exotic anymore and all the dancing had stopped.

Thankfully I eventually escaped and decided to go back to my artistic roots as a children's illustrator.

Which is exactly what I did!

Now I live on a farm in the Scottish Borders with my partner and our two kids.
